The 格兰特写证书 provides basic concepts and "best practice" approaches to preparing proposals and budgets. Successful completion of two courses is required for the non-credit certificate. When you successfully complete each course, you will receive 1.75个持续进修课. For successful completion of both courses, you will receive 3.5个ceu和毕业证书. You can take each course in any semester in which it is offered. For information about each course, see the information below.

Both courses are required to complete the certificate. If you are not interested in the certificate, each course can be taken on its own.

Writing a proposal is only one crucial part of a much larger process—namely, 如何建立和维持成功, 与基金会的长期关系. Completing this course will give students a solid understanding of best practices in how to secure grants and, 反过来, build effective relationships with foundations over time.

The best proposal writers are strong communicators who provide "big picture" context and important details in a clear and straightforward manner. 除了, effective proposal writers keep their audience's interests in mind by following application guidelines and conveying the "fit" between a proposal and a given funder's priorities. A good budget reflects the proposal narrative by describing the realistic anticipated costs associated with a given scope of work.

The aim is to enable you to master "best practice" approaches to preparing proposals and budgets. Primary attention is given to seeking grants from foundation donors; however, a brief introduction to government grants is also covered.

If you need help identifying a project and/or a prospect or wish to work with others on a small group project, you must request permission to enroll from the instructor.

Ms. 哈林顿, MIIM, GPC, is a seasoned grant professional with more than 20 years of nonprofit development experience.
